The shop helps fund Charis & our vital services via donation of all profit from the shop annually, and hosts regular events such as their fantastic Christmas fair each year which brings together the local communities to sample some of fine local talent & crafts, while supporting the work of Charis Cancer Care.

Recently undertaken by new management in, Friends of Charis has seen a facelift and revamp- introducing various departments across all 3 floors with a small team of staff and volunteers working hard to create the best shopping experience for customers.

Departments include;

• ladies, men’s & children’s fashion
• shoes & accessories
• jewellery counters
• bric-a-brac with everything you could need from cookware to crockery, lamps, ornaments and of course those sought after collectables
• 2 floors of high quality used furniture from bedroom furniture to dining tables and chairs & suites of furniture. As well as some beautiful occasional pieces perfect for a room feature or upcycling project

Friends of Charis recently introduced “the next chapter” bookstore, an impeccably organised used book store with absolutely everything you could dream of- vinyl records, children’s books, horror, romance, sci-fi and an impressive collection of non-fiction and educational reads to help you take the first step to that new hobby- be it arts and crafts, a musical instrument, cooking or learning a new language. The next chapter really does have something for everyone.

Every penny counts, and helps ensure Charis can continue to provide their valuable services to anyone across Northern Ireland, at any stage of their cancer journey as well as their loved ones.
